What is Medicare?
Medicare is a federal health insurance program that covers millions of Americans. You are eligible for Medicare if you are 65 or older, you are younger than 65 and meet criteria for certain disabilities, or have been diagnosed with End‐Stage Renal Kidney disease.
Medicare Consists of Four “Parts”:
- Medicare Part A Hospital Insurance (Original Medicare)
- Medicare Part B Medical Insurance (Original Medicare)
- Medicare Part C Medicare Advantage to provide Part A and Part B Benefits
- Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Insurance
Piedmont WellStar Medicare Choice is a Medicare Advantage HMO organization with a Medicare Contract. Enrollment in Piedmont WellStar Medicare Choice depends on contract renewal.
